UPDATED: So after seeing SO many guys with bags that have Metal D-Rings all around, all metal clips and hardware on their carry strap, zippers that overlap and have a loop for a small padlock etc. better quality rubber top material on the pouches, etc. etc. etc. ..... I got the one with all PLASTIC everything, no rubber material around top of pouches, the zippers were not locking just normal zippers.SO, I called Condor .. well these models Are OLD OLD models, from a couple years back they said ... they were shocked Amazon was still shipping customers version with all plastic etc. I told them I want one updated and they would need to back me up with Amazon since I realized all of this after my 30 days. But I was GONNA get a new version, I wasn't gonna pay full price for an old bag with cheap plastic when the new ones are much better. Well they just said hey send us the invoice, some pics of your bag, the tag to verify it's Condor, etc. and they sent me a BRAND NEW UPDATED Version ASAP and said "Hey buddy sorry about that keep the one you got (So that one will be a back-up or for a friend or something in the future). The Updated version is SOOOOO Much better, the zippers overlap and lock and also the old version the black rubbed off the zipper pulls in days to the chrome, the new ones do not and I can now lock them. The hardware on the strap, d-rings, clip, etc. that was plastic is All SOLID metal now and feels BEEFY now and is light years better then what the first bag had. There is a rubber material around the top part of the three pouches so the material doesn't wear when you pull those pouches open while pulled tight and feels Real Nice. The carry strap handle is padded and feels much more round and comfortable to hold when velcroed together which is very nice. Overall the new version is WAY BETTER then the old plasticy, cheapish feel of the old one.Don't get me wrong as you can see from my initial review below no knowing any better the cheap plastic old version is still AMAZING, but when you get the new one it becomes 10 stars and not 5 anymore. It's not like it's night and day but IS FOR SURE a better bag all the way around.I recommend if you get the old version with no zipper locks, plastick hardware, etc. to send it back to Amazon and tell them to send back all that old junk and only send new product.TRUST ME, you will be so happy you didn't settle for the cheapy plastic no locking version .... everything about the bag feels SO MUCH more solid and well made then the old one.Hope this helps someone.PICTURES POSTED!!!Love this case ... I got the 36" and for an AR15 you Do Not need any bigger ... this is my first AR15 and this case meets the requirements of EXACTLY what I wanted. Lots of padding inside all around, zippers and stitching are Solid (wish the main zippers overlapped for a lock like the Voodoo though) , the pouches are perfect and just need to be weaved (make sure you weave the straps to the bag ... google "Weave Mollee" and you will see some videos to show you just how to do this ... this is not done at the factory and if this is not done the pouches will sag and feel very unsecure). Compression straps are all in the right spot and work great (though if not a lot of pressure is on the strap and just an average amount they tend to slip a tinge I found).I went with the Black and love it ... got a couple Velcro badges from Gadspen & Culpeper here on Amazon (got the US flag and punisher and they fit perfect and look awesome). The pouches have nice draw strings on the side that help keep the top of the pouches from being to big and help compress the items contained in each pouch. each pouch expands Very far and you can fit a ton of stuff in it ... and if you have them weaved on the mollee webbing right to the bag they are rock solid and feel great carrying around even with all the stuff.I have not yet used the shoulder, back, etc. strap so I can;t talk to that but once I do I will update my review ... but overall looks like it will work like a charm and has many different options this strap can be used in .... Google Condor Rifle Case Review and you will find some youtube videos that will show you so much more on this bag ... helps when deciding.Overall I was looking at this and the Voodoo Tactical case and for the about $40 savings I made the right choice ... I doubt the Voodoo has anything that makes it worth that premium ... Unless you want a DUAL rifle case the the Voodoo is 100% the way to go and this Condor is a single and works like a charm for just one ... but that Voodoo from what I can see and have read is killer for two... so if you only have one AR15 like me and need a case.... look no further.Hope this helps ... I was thinking about a hard case but there is no way to store other stuff and really these soft cases just look and feel better and are smaller as well which is nice. The 36" fit's my AR like a glove ... collapsed or even extended. Most all the reviews got this thing right and is the best buy for an AR case for sure ... it;s has a couple shortcomings but Nothing at all that doesn't make this case a 5-star product hands down.Don't hesitate to buy .. you won't be disappointed.Purchased this case for my newly acquired Colt LE6920 M4 Law Enforcement Carbine. The rifle feature's the mil-spec 4-position buffer tube/collapsible Roger's SuperStoc (the model featuring the friction lock found on Colt M4's), A3 Upper w/ removable Carry Handle, A2 Front Sight, 16" barrel with the usual A2 birdcage Flash Hider, and this case is an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT fit for this rifle! There's a little bit or room left on each side of the rifle which will allow you to still use this case should you decide to install a slightly longer flash hider, or leave the stock extended out a position if you choose. I am about to install a Y.H.M. Phantom 5C2 "Aggressive" Flash Hider, which I believe is slightly longer than the standard A2 "Bircage" Flash Hider, and with this case I will be fine. The rifle will store in the case with a 30rd. magazine attached and either the carry handle left on, or carry handle removed and replaced with optics, so long as the optics aren't hugely tall (an EOTech or A.C.O.G. optic should be fine). You might find it's a tight fit if you try to store the rifle with both a 30rd magazine attached and with a larger scope such as a 50mm Obj. Diameter with higher risers. The inside of the case featured pockets in the corners for you to slip your muzzle and buttstock into for a more secure hold if you wish, and it also features two Velcro separate velco retaining straps that will also secure your rifle, so even if your rifle is a little small for this case, it won't be going anywhere. There are pouches galore on this case. The outside features a larger (I believe it's 27" long) thinner profile pouch with two separate velcro pouches inside that which are capable of holding a large frame pistol each, and even some extra magazines in there with each pistol. This larger pouch is also lockable, along with the main rifle compartment being lockable. On the very outside, there are three pouches. There is a double magazine pouch on each side and a larger pouch in the middle for various accessories. All three outside pouches have elastic drawstrings to hold them tighter when magazines/accessories are being stored in there so nothing will be shaking around and whatnot. Each outer pouch features velcro closure with a single strap/clasp, and the inner pouch also features velcro closure with two strap/clasps. Each of the three outer pouch is secured to the rifle case itself via a MOLLE system, which is pretty awesome, because you can always remove pouches, add different ones, switch around the orientation, remove pouches and replace with other MOLLE accessories such as a knife sheath, or what have you. Very smart idea on behalf of the folks at Condor. There are a couple other things I didnt touch on. One of them being that there is an adjustable strap/clasp on each side of the carry handle to further secure the main rifle compartment. The carry handle features your average double handle type where you are provided with a flap attached to one of them with velcro to allow you to wrap both handles together. I would like so see companies start to deviate away from this type of carry handle as in a stress situation is CAN be a pain in the rear, and lead to some fumbling around trying to unwrap it and access your rifle. Maybe having two separate padded carry handles for each side, with velcro on the inside that will allow you to just pull them apart and unzip the case to access your firearm, which would be a lot quicker and easier to accomplish in fight or flight situations where you really only have mass muscle movement/control.versus precision manual dexterity. Also, another thing I wanted to touch on is that both compartments that will hold firearms, which is the main rifle compartment and the smaller dual pistol compartment, both feature zipper couplings that allow you to attach a small padlock. Which is great. The only problem is, is that the metal holes provides to put the padlock's shackle through are only large enough to allow you to use little luggage locks. I've tried the closures with the most common next size up lock, to have better security, and it was JUST slightly too large. You could probably find a more secure lock that will fit, but not in your average store, maybe on the net. This is a slight issue, but it's not the biggest issue, which is why I didn't let it drop the rating to four stars, because really, if someone wanted in this case, they could easily do so with simple hand tools. These lock holes for the luggage locks are more to secure your rifle against children that may try to access your firearms, or to prevent a burglar/robber from just immediately opening your case without issue.I know this was a lengthy review, but I feel that this case deserves it. It is a quality made, piece of equipment that will make your life a little easier. Very good investment. ALSO, the price is VERY nice. It's priced about the same as some lower end pieces of garbage that you'll find other places. Most importantly it was a good fit.I am very pleased with this product. Very well made and I do believe this will last for a very very long time wherever adventure I take it. It protects your belongings on the main and the smaller compartment from a mild rain I must say due to the zippers are not watertigt sealed. This bag really works for its purpose. Fabric is very thick and rip resistant ( still with care obviously) compared to other well known bags in this category. Worth buying it for your expensive personal items. Condor's slogan on the tag says "beyond expectation" well I agree. I feel I got a $250 value for a $100 that's rare these days... 5*+Perfekt...Verarbeitung 1A. Reissverschlüsse laufen leicht. Gut gepolstert und fixiert und der Tasche. Waffe verrutscht nicht und ist perfekt geschützt. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Condor hat mich noch nie enttäuscht. Sofort wiederGood solid construction and I love the extra storage pouches
